Trip to London & Italy Part Two

London_2

From Poland I headed to Amsterdam again then Brussels by train for the night which didn’t allow me to have much time to explore Brussels. The next day I took a early train heading to London, well I was a little surprised by London in a good way. Where I stayed was in the Seven Points which is near Covent Garden and it is a great little place because it is near Oxford street (for those that don’t know it is a main shopping street in London) and about ten minute walk to Leicester Square. I only spent about five days there so didn’t have a lot of time to explore a lot of London. The first day I went to Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and Trafalgar Square, I was really tired from all that walking too so I rested my tired feet. Next day I did some shopping on Oxford Street and just fell in love with most of stores and I’m very jealous as a result, that night I went and saw a play called The Commitments which was great. The following day I went and visited Harry Potter World set which was amazing and enjoyed every moment of it and took way too many photos that I just can’t show you all of them but if your a crazy Harry Potter fan it is worth the visit. Also went a visited the London Bridge and went on a cruise on the Thames.

Florence Venice

I then took the train to Paris for three days and just visited some of the sights there, even went up to the top of the Eiffel tower and did a night tour around Paris. Then I was off to Venice for three days, I arrived quite late because I missed my flight. I went and visited St Marks Square and Rialto Bridge also went to Burano which is an island that specialises in making lace products and Murano which specialises in making glass products which I got to see some glass pony/horse (I think) being made right in front of me which was interesting to see the technique that goes into making glass objects.I found Venice to be so beautiful and majestic, I would definitely like to go there again and see more of it. I then took a train to Florence where I spent three days at and it was amazing. The food was great, the weather was great and this whole city was great in general. I visited The Basilica of San Miniato al Monte, Piazzale Michelangelo, Centro Storico, Uffizi Gallery, Florence Cathedral and Neptune’s Fountain. Overall the city was great when it comes to food, attractions and feel of the city.

Rome_1 Rome_2

My last stop was Rome well it is a very busy place and can be a little overwhelming with the crowds. I was only here for five days, where I stayed wasn’t far from Trevi Fountain which sadly was getting work done on so I didn’t get to see it in its full glory. Anyway I also went to the Pantheon, Vatican Museum and St Peter’s Basilica, Colosseum, Spanish Steps, Piazza Venezia and St Peter Prison. The Vatican Museum and St Peter’s Basilica were both amazing and interesting to see the history of Rome. The Colosseum was just huge in size and didn’t realise at first how huge it really was and how old it is. Overall Rome was a little unorganised and really hot weather wise but Rome is just a interesting place full of history and great food. There is a lot to see and explore and definitely was to see more of Italy next time I’m here.

Thats it for my trip to Europe hope you enjoyed this post and the other post. Let me know in the comments below what is your favourite destination and I’ll see you in my next post.
