So I heard of Holly releasing a book detailing her time at the Playboy mansion, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to get this book or in fact read it at first. I grew up watching the Girls Next Door and loved it not because of Playboy in particular but because of the girls themselves they all were interesting and fun to watch on the show and all had their “characters” as Holly states in the book that it was very clearly planned out what would be done within all the episodes. I found this book to be very insightful into how the mansion was really like and pretty cliché in that I think every girl at some point who wants some form of fame or notoriety will try to get it through any means even though now it is more about reality television and Youtube now but back then it seems to be more about Playboy. It seemed to me that she was just trying to achieve something but got caught into a situation that to me was pretty bad and I feel that she really portrayed how many girls at that kind of age who are quite naive to things and tend to get way over there heads without realising it. Whether or not you want to believe some of the things she states about Hef and his wife now, that is up to you but I think it is really courageous to put your whole life history out there for everyone to read worts and all. Overall I loved reading this book and think anyone with a open mind and you don’t have to be a fan of her or the show to enjoy reading this and learning of your mistakes in life.
