So lately I have been getting back into watching Anime again. When I was a kid I would always watch different anime series and had quite a few that I loved. I honestly never got into DBZ but I had a few friends that were into it so I knew of the shows but wasn’t […]
1. An American Tail 1 & 2 I love these two movies if you haven’t seen them before it’s a story about a mouse named Fievel and his family. They had to running away from Russia and are trying to get to American in the first movie in the second they move out West. He has […]
So I have been seeing the new Revlon Perfume scented nail polish on other bloggers so I thought I would try one just to see what the hype is all about. I have to say I was a little surprised that the nail polish did have a scent to it. I chose Lavender Soap since it is always a loving smell to have anywhere in the house. It was also I lovely pale purple colour which makes it a nice neutral colour on the hands. It did start to chip after a few days which most nail polishes do along with the smell it had didn’t last long either but this is still a great nail polish to have and I’m quite surprised by it.
So a couple of months ago I found a magazine which is based Norway called Flow, which is very similar to Frankie here in Australia but is more crafty. I found out they do international versions of the magazine. So I got three issues that where available internationally, and also a paper book with different papered patterns. I just fell in love with everything that this magazine does and I find a lot of inspiration from reading these magazines.
This month I finally finished this book “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle, which I have to say can be a little kick in the gut sometimes but definitely got me thinking a lot about the way I think and act around others. This book talks a lot about living within the now and not living in the past or future, as this way of thinking does not serve yourself in the present. Also how we all as a society are controlled by our minds and negativity, to which we all have to start to let go of in order to move forward in a more stable society in the future. It a really good read if your into alternative thinking and if Oprah backs it up, you know it is going to be a good read.
So this month as been busy, I have been reading this book called “Girls Own Survival Guide: how to deal with the unexpected” by Ky Furneaux. I have to say this book is surprising it is very informative on a lot of things. It is also a very empowering book for women, as it gives you tools in how to deal with things as a women. There is also a great balance of both everyday tips and tips for general survival if I ever get stuck somewhere in the bush and might know how to build shelter, collect water and other survival tips in general (question on maybe). Can be bought here (this is a affiliate link).
