I have been thinking of making a garland for my brothers birthday, to place above his photo board. You can easily replicated yourselves. What you going to need is a ruler and pencil, scissors, glue stick, colour string and cardboard paper. (more…)
I’m also doing a pin-up board of photos of my brother when he was younger as part of his birthday party. So I have been brainstorming ways in which to present them, in different ways then just the standard photos on a board. I found these slip in Polaroids, which can make photos that aren’t Polaroids into ones. Which is really cool idea to make photos look vintage and I am a lover of things vintage. I also found cardboard letters and numbers, that I am planning to use on the board spelling out his name (both are shown below).
My brother is having his 21st birthday which is in late February, and as usual me and my mum have to organise everything. The theme is Bogan Black Tie where everyone has to dress as a bogan which sounds like it would be a cool theme but makes it a little complicated to decorate. I do not know if decorating completely in australian flag merchandise might be taking it overboard, well maybe not since bogan’s take a lot of things overboard (trying not to be racist here).
What seems to be a trend lately are flower headbands, and I have decided to do my own take on a flower headband. I just used a cheap headband from a discount shop. I decided on a wide band, in order to use a lot of different “fake” flowers which in the end created a big centre piece on my head. Some people might like it or not, but it was what I wanted from a flower headband that i haven’t seen in a lot of different blogs. (more…)
